The aim of our projects is to support women in business by giving the the necessary support so they can succeed in their business.

Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund empower women entrepreneurs

Poverty alleviation project

ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PROJECT

In partnership with the strategic partners, the Trust Fund has supported 88 women entrepreneurs who want to set up or develop their businesses. The Enterprise Development Project is to support women in business, and we did when we provided services to help their business.

Services provided include:

 •Feasibility studies across different sectors

 •Evaluating marketing opportunities

 •Legal consulting

 •Business growth

 •Employment possibilities

 •Ongoing training and skills upgrading

Of the 88 trained and supported, 15 women entrepreneurs are to receive intensive training and coaching via business consultants to help them produce bankable business plans

POVERTY ALLEVIATION PROGRAM PROJECT

In a strategy for poverty alleviation and women empowerment, the Trust Fund has provided considerable resources for women’s self-help groups’ projects. Twenty (20) Domestic Sewing Machines and 4 Embroidery were purchased for 2 cooperatives and 12 sole proprietors. 

The Cooperatives were provided with basic sewing classes were they were given skills in:

 

•Seamstress

 •Cutting

 •Pattern-making

 •Overclocking

 •Tailoring

 •Embroidery

WOMEN DRIVER’S LICENCE PROGRAM PROJECT

The program was launched on 8 March 2016 in celebration of International Women `s month. The program officially started in October were 83 women were recruited and trained.
