The year 2020 was difficult.
We were faced with a pandemic we never prepared for businesses closed their door and people lost their jobs.

Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund achievement in 2020 are:

We supported over 100 female entrepreneurs from aspiring, start-up, small and medium businesses.

Makeup Workshop

MRKTTF took upcoming makeup artists from Dikgatlong, Phokwane, and Magareng Local Municipality for a makeup workshop. After paying for the training they bought them makeup boxes of the value of R1 500, Makeup brushes R420 and a gift voucher.

This initiative was to help take their hobby or passion and turn it into a business.

Pixley Ka Seme Women Entrepreneur Bootcamp

The purpose of the 2020 Bootcamp was to assist women and their businesses. 

Steadying Enterprise Beyond LockDown Interruptions Business Resuscitation.

To keep their businesses open and find new ways of doing so.

The were masterclasses for:

Class 1: Compliance and registration UIF/SDL/TERS done by Department of labour Mr. Ivan Young/ Cordelia Mokgesi 

Class 2: Financial Management Restructuring by National Youth Development Agency Ms. Tshiamo Motlhaba 

Class 3: SMME relief funding by Department of Small Business Development Mr. Tebogo Rapopo 

Class 4: Digital transformation to benefit small businesses (Importance of adding your business online) by Alien Tech Ms. Precious Matlhaba 

Class 5: Department of Public Works and infrastructure opportunities for SMMEs

The purpose of the masterclasses was non-financial support to assist women entrepreneurs during this covid19 pandemic.

Financial support was also given to the entrepreneurs as the was an equipment handover ceremony.

Business resuscitation COVID19 relief fund roadshow

Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust Fund Business Resuscitation Roadshow was to give our beneficiaries support to grow their businesses. When times got hard, they preserved, got out of their comfort zone to turn things around.

The business resuscitation roadshow is to help support and grow women-owned small businesses in the Northern Cape.

Female entrepreneurs are the hardest working in the world, not only do they run businesses but households.

We went to all the districts in the Northern Cape. To give women entrepreneurs a hand up and not a handout, after the businesses got a knockdown from COVID19.

  • Gazebo Package branded with the business names and contact details to help market the business. The package included (1 Branded gazebo, 2 camp chairs, 1 teardrop, 1 folding table,1 table cloth)
  • Laptop package included laptop bag, laptop, wireless mouse, wireless printer, and a router)

Hired a new Enterprise Development Manager

Mr. Bongani Tekana is also known as Bongz Tk, is the Enterprise Development Manager (EDM).

He is direct support for all the District Co-ordinators. He ensures the realization of the Trust’s strategic business training, mentoring objectives, and optimize quality service delivery. Through the utilization of available resources to reach the Trust’s mandate (Supporting and Promoting Women Enterprise).

Examples of digital media include software, digital images, digital video, video games, web pages and websites, social media, digital data and databases, digital audio such as MP3, electronic documents, and electronic books.

To make sure we assist our clients to the best of our ability. We went for a Team building.

2021 we want to be a cohesive team. Work together to meet the needs of our clients, by accomplishing their purpose and goals.

Team building activities are to motivate people to work together. To develop their strengths, and to address any weaknesses.

The term building that took place last year assisted in understanding the issues of the organization and how to fix them.

Team building is a very important culture for our organization it helps the team to get to know each other, and to understand the common goal.
