The Mme Re Ka Thusa Trust was established in 2006 with the aim to assist historically disadvantaged females to expand and grow their businesses.
It is an essential vehicle that is designed to assist women in realizing their full business potential in turn allowing them to contribute meaningfully to the economic growth and development of the country.
As government, we remain mindful of our role in continuing to assist and enable the empowerment of women in business and economic empowerment initiatives, together with our partners.
Today, we celebrate the role that they continue to play in the entrenchment of democracy in our society. We also wish to encourage them to seize the opportunities offered to them in order to actively participate in the mainstream economy.
As an Enterprise Development focused event, the Strike a Rock Conference and Awards presents a unique opportunity to network with fellow peers, improve women’s access to capital and markets, build women’s capacities and skills and support the rise of women leaders in both the public and private sectors.
Today, we will be recognizing the businesswoman who has achieved beyond expectations and proven herself an exceptional entrepreneur and leader.
We are excited to announce that she will be given a R 70 000 business grant from Mme Re Ka Thusa.
We as women are uniquely positioned to have the greatest impact on South Africa’s future economic growth.
The sky is the limit and we look forward to collaborating with you in shaping this exciting sector.
